B.S. Criminal Justice

Dr. Blankenship obtained a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from Walden University and a master’s degree in criminology with a concentration in Forensic Psychology from Saint Leo University. Her criminal justice background is primarily in the juvenile justice arena where she has worked in many different capacities for over 20 years. She has worked as a mental health counselor for at-risk youth, a juvenile probation officer, as well as in a position that allows her to create and implement programs in attempts to divert juveniles out of the system and on to a positive life track.

Dr. Blankenship embarked on a higher education teaching role upon obtaining her Ph.D. in early 2020 and has facilitated courses from associate degree level to Ph.D. dissertation courses in the criminal justice and forensic psychology disciplines. Dr. Blankenship is a contributing faculty member at Walden University for criminal justice classes as well as performing as a Chair and/or committee member for Ph.D. dissertation committees.
