Dr. Lis B. Tomlin holds a Ph.D in Counselor Education from Adams State University and has been a counselor educator for approximately 10 years. Lis is an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), licensed in CO, NY, PA, and RI, and has 17+ years of experience in the professional counseling field. She utilizes a feminist systems perspective, believing that the client-therapist relationship is paramount. Specialty areas include working with emergent adults, suicide intervention, online counseling and education, mentoring as increasing belonging, gender affirming care, and LGBTQIA+ issues. Lis has worked in a variety of clinical settings which include higher education/college counseling, private practice, community mental health, nonprofit sector, corrections, DV/IPV, alcohol and drug treatment, and residential treatment.
