Dr. Ashby holds PhD and MSEd in Learning Design and Technology from Purdue University. She has over 10 years of professional experience as a learning designer collaborating with institutions of higher education, corporate, and non-profit organizations. She brings broad and diverse experience as an instructional designer, instructor, evaluator, and researcher in the fields of instructional design, competency-based education, interdisciplinary education, human-computer interaction, and performance improvement in order to support learners with diverse needs. Her work as an instructor, instructional designer, and researcher has received multiple awards from Purdue University and various professional associations. Dr. Ashby’s research interests include competency-based education and assessment, interdisciplinary education, and lifelong learning.
